Privacy policy

How Audentia Research collects, uses, shares and retains personal data — and how you can see it, correct it or have it deleted.

This policy covers five groups of people: visitors to this website, clients and enquirers, individuals we research on behalf of clients, candidates in a managed process, and people who apply to work with us. If you only want the detail on research, the GDPR compliance page goes further.

Summary

We process personal data to run a talent research business: to operate this website, to deal with enquiries, to carry out research engagements for clients, to run executive searches, and to recruit our own staff. For research we rely on legitimate interests, and you have an unconditional right to object — email privacy@audentiaresearch.com and we will remove your record.

This policy is written to be read. Where a section applies to you, it says what we collect, why, on what lawful basis, who we share it with and how long we keep it.

If anything here is unclear, or you want to exercise a right, write to privacy@audentiaresearch.com or to Audentia Research, 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom.

Group two

Clients and enquirers

If you contact us through a form, by email or by phone, we collect your name, business email address, telephone number, employer and whatever you tell us about your requirement. The enquiry forms on this site also record which page you submitted from.

Where you use the fee comparison calculator, we collect the figures you enter and verify your email address with a one-time code before returning the result. The verification code is used for that purpose only.

We use this to respond to you, to prepare a scope and fee, to deliver an engagement and to manage the commercial relationship. The lawful basis is legitimate interests before a contract exists and contract once it does. We send occasional updates about our research and services to business contacts, and every message carries a one-click unsubscribe.

We keep enquiry and marketing data for 24 months from your last engagement with us. Contract and billing records are kept for the period UK company and tax law requires.

Group three

People we research

This is the group most people reach this page looking for.

On behalf of clients we research professionals in defined markets. If you are one of them, we may hold: your name, current employer, job title and level, function, location at city or region level, tenure, publicly evidenced career history, professional qualifications and registrations, working language where it is professionally evidenced, and sometimes business contact details.

Every field carries the source it came from and the date it was collected.

We do not hold special category data about you — no ethnicity, health, beliefs, trade union membership or sexual orientation — and we do not infer any of it. We do not hold your home address or personal contact details.

The lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f), supported by a documented balancing test. The interest is the client’s need to understand a professional market before making workforce decisions, and ours in providing that service. The data is professional, held in a context where a working professional would reasonably expect their employer and role to be known, and you can object at any time.

You have an unconditional right to object under Article 21. Email privacy@audentiaresearch.com and we will remove your record. We do not ask for a reason and we do not charge.

Project datasets are deleted twelve months after delivery unless a retained programme is live. Where a dataset has already been delivered to a client, we will tell you so, and the client becomes responsible for their copy — we will pass your objection on.

Group four

Candidates in a managed process

If you engage with us about a specific role — in an executive search, a sourcing project or a pipelining programme — we will hold what you share with us: your CV, career history, compensation expectations, availability, notice period, interview feedback and references where you provide them.

We use it to represent you to the client for that role, to run the process and to keep you informed. The lawful basis is legitimate interests and, once you ask us to put you forward, steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract.

We share your details with the named client for that role, and only with your agreement. We do not circulate CVs speculatively.

We keep candidate records for 24 months from last contact so that we can approach you about relevant roles, and longer only if you ask us to. You can ask us to delete your record at any time.

Group five

Job applicants

If you apply to work at Audentia Research through our careers page, we collect your name, contact details, CV, work history and anything else you choose to send us.

We use it to assess your application. The lawful basis is steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and legitimate interests in keeping a record of recruitment decisions. Unsuccessful applications are kept for 12 months in case a suitable role arises, then deleted.

Recipients

Who we share data with

  • Clients — research deliverables, and candidate details where you have agreed to be put forward.
  • Our own team — in London and Mumbai, on a role-based access basis limited to the engagement.
  • Sub-processors — hosting, email, and the analytics providers named above. Each is under written terms meeting Article 28. The current list is available on request.
  • Professional advisers — accountants, auditors and lawyers, where necessary.
  • Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose.

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not recycle one client’s research into another client’s deliverable.

Chapter V

International transfers

We operate from London and Mumbai, so personal data relating to UK and EEA individuals is accessed by our team in India. India is not the subject of a UK or EU adequacy decision.

These transfers are made under standard contractual clauses, with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where UK GDPR applies, supported by a transfer risk assessment and technical measures including encryption in transit and at rest and role-based access control. Full detail is on the GDPR compliance page.

Chapter III

Your rights

You have the right to be informed, to access your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict processing, to data portability where it applies, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing — we make no such decisions.

To exercise any of them, email privacy@audentiaresearch.com. We respond within one month and we do not charge a fee. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we disclose data to you.

The GDPR compliance page sets out how we handle each right in practice.

Redress

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data or a request, please tell us first at privacy@audentiaresearch.com so we can put it right.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint). In the EEA it is the authority in your country of residence or work. In Australia it is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Version

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our processing changes or when the law does. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last reviewed. Material changes affecting research subjects will also be reflected on the GDPR compliance page.

This policy was last updated on 20 October 2026.
